Our Staff

Pastor Jamie Taylor, a lifetime resident of Somerset, KY, has served as the senior pastor of Cornerstone since its inception in May 2019. He was saved in November of 2004 and answered the call to ministry in 2005. Pastor Jamie served as the pastor of Faith United Baptist Church from 2012 until its merger with Buena Vista to form Cornerstone. He attended Somerset High School, Cumberland Baptist Institute and studied Biblical counseling at Liberty University.

He and his wife Latricia have been happily married for 22 years. They are proud parents of two children, Ryan and Alexa, and grandparents of Lakelyn Clark and Maverick Taylor through Ryan and his wife Abby.  When he is not busy with his pastoral duties, Pastor Taylor enjoys spending quality time with family, hunting, and working on his farm. As a church we’re blessed to have a visionary and compassionate senior pastor leading us! We’re grateful for his unwavering devotion to The Lord and willingness to follow and obey the Lord’s plan for our church!
