Joining The Membership
At Cornerstone Baptist Church, we operate as a sovereign and self-governed congregation under the leadership of Jesus Christ. Our members are empowered to make decisions about all aspects of our spiritual and temporal life and hold the right to determine our own membership and the requirements for joining. To become a member of our church, an individual must demonstrate their alignment with our constitution and bylaws through one of the following methods:
A. Profession of faith in Jesus Christ and baptism by immersion.
B. Transfer of membership from a like-faith and practice church.
C. Personal testimony of their conversion and baptism by immersion.
Any candidate for membership must be approved by a majority vote of our church at a regular business meeting. Upon confirmation, their membership becomes official.
Member Expectations
As members of our church, it is expected that each individual will embrace and uphold the key principles of the Christian faith as outlined in the New Testament. This includes supporting the mission, purpose, and goals of our church and aligning with our church covenant. We strive to create an authentic Christian community where unity is valued above uniformity, and the Fruits of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control) are exemplified in our interactions with one another.
Our church covenant can be found on the Our Beliefs page under Who We Are or by clicking here.
Communion and Baptism

At Cornerstone Baptist Church, we offer Holy Communion once a quarter as a way to connect with the Lord and with each other. This ordinance is open to all believers who have made a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ, repented and confessed their sins, and been baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Christian baptism is a public symbol of faith in Jesus and obedience to Him. It involves being immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This ritual signifies the individual’s death to sin and their commitment to a new life in Christ, following their repentance, conversion, and salvation. Salvation is open to all who believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior through His sacrifice on our behalf. At Cornerstone Baptist Church, baptism by immersion at our church or a like minded church is required for membership.
